Cinema’s been an obsession ever since in the first year of graduation, I chanced upon a copy of Federico Fellini’s 8 ½ in a friend’s hard-disk , copied it to my pendrive and viewed it at home . That experience triggered my cinema journey on which I’ll be a traveller for the rest of my life . My masters in mass communication from AJK Mass Communication and Research Centre , Jamia Millia Islamia was a satisfying experience , which gave me an opportunity to broaden my cinema horizons and express myself creatively through the medium of cinema . Photography is my other passion and I find it quite liberating and yes , I do often look for cinematic frames inspired by the visual language of my favourite film-makers.  In my leisure , apart from making attempts to satisfy my insatiable hunger for films , I write short fiction and indulge in a bit of poetry . Film-makers who inspire me a lot include  Ingmar Bergman , Andrei Tarkovsky , Federico Fellini , Yasujiro Ozu , Satyajit Ray , Luis Bunuel , Abbas Kiarostami and Michael haneke , just to name a few and i do hope to make my own films some day .  To bring cine buffs under one roof in order to generate discussions n debates on cinema , I also run a small film club called Cinematheque .
